Our Services

At Hearts to Words, a speech and language pathologist with training in the PROMPT framework will support you and your child to reach their full communication potential.

What is PROMPT Therapy?

PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) is a specialized, evidence-based methodology that helps children improve their speech and communication abilities. It is a multidimensional approach that provides physical-sensory support (hands-on cues to the facial muscles), in addition to supporting the cognitive-linguistic and social-emotional aspects of communication.

Communication is complex and this evidence-based approach allows our speech and language pathologists to create an individualized plan for your child. It’s all about the evidence and the evidence shows- PROMPT therapy is the way to go!

What Parents Are Saying

  • "We were so lucky to find Diana for our speech therapy—We have worked with her since my toddler was about 15 months old and she has been amazing with him for about a year so far! We’ve seen him grow with her from just beginning to form the sounds that make words to now already working on more complex sentences. He absolutely loves when she comes to play as she is so engaging with him. She answers all of our questions and has adjusted her approach to meet his needs every step of the way!"

  • "We had an excellent experience with Diana during our 6-year old son's speech assessment. Right from the start, Diana made him feel comfortable and at ease even though it was their first time meeting. She was patient, engaging and really took the time to understand where his speech difficulties lie. Diana provided us with clear, helpful feedback on his speech development and gave us actionable items that we could work on with him at home.Overall, it was a very positive experience and we feel confident moving forward with her recommendations. Highly recommend!"

  • "Working with Diana has been an absolute game-changer for my son. We started speech therapy when he was 18 months old, and now that he's almost 4, the progress he's made is incredible. Diana is professional, kind, and has a way of making kids feel at ease. One of the things that really sets her apart is how she keeps us parents in the loop - she always makes sure we know what we're working on, gives us tips on how to support his progress at home, and is super responsive to our questions and concerns. We feel like we're all working together as a team, and that's made a huge difference."

  • “Diana has been such a pleasure to work with. She created a really nice bond with our son Cole immediately. She is able to address both his speech and sensory needs during her sessions with him.

She is also familiar with his AAC device which is an added bonus. She is a great communicator and explains everything they did during their sessions.

We are very happy that we found Diana!”

  • “My son worked with Diana for speech therapy throughout his entire first grade school year. We saw immediate results as she led him through meaningful (and fun) activities that strengthened his tongue and built the muscle memory to articulate sounds correctly. After meeting our set goals, he no longer needed speech therapy, but he still wanted to continue the sessions because of how much he enjoyed it! Diana is incredibly knowledgeable while at the same time personable and compassionate. She always relayed her findings in concise ways that allowed for my easy understanding. She made my son’s temporary speech shortcomings seem (to him) like a reason for extra attention and fun. We’re so grateful to have her on our team and look forward working with her (if needed) in the future. Thank you Diana! “
